The Passion of Christ and The WMSCOG Feast of Unleavened Bread wmscog March 23, 2017 20 comments The Passion of Christ Through The Passion of Christ, the movie, we can see that after keeping the Passover. He was captured and tortured in various ways by the Roman soldiers. After all, He was suffered and died on the crucifixion in the WMSCOG Feast of Unleavened Bread. Then, why should He endure all kinds of the Passion, even though He had no sins and only is almighty God? The suffering of the cross of Christ is the prophecy of the WMSCOG feast of the Unleavened Bread. And its fulfillment according to the bible. The WMSCOG Feast of Unleavened Bread as the feast of the sufferings represents Christ would be crucified. Moreover, it is on the fifteenth day of the first month by the sacred calendar(Lev.23:6). World Mission Society Church of God(WMSCOG) has been celebrating the WMSCOG Feast of Unleavened Bread. WMSCOG is celebrating it on the 15th day of the first month by the sacred calendar. It’s following the teachings of the Second coming Christ Ahnshanghong. The origin of The WMSCOG Feast of Unleavened Bread The WMSCOG Feast of Unleavened Bread originated from the suffering of Israelites, who had been oppressed by Egypt for about 430 years. And they had kept the Passover and left Egypt until they had crossed the Red Sea.Pharaoh, king of Egypt, did not release Israelites before the plague on the firstborn. But after the tenth plague, he liberated them from Egyptian slavery. However, he immediately changed his mind and went with six hundred of the best chariots along with all other chariots of Egypt. He wanted to chase after them and to bring them back to Egypt. As Pharaoh’s army approached, the Israelites were terrified and cried out to the Lord and said to Moses resentfully. The Lord God divided the Red Sea by Moses’ staff and led the Israelites to cross the sea. By making the pillar of fire and cloud God separated the Israelites and Egypt army and delayed chasing after the Israelites. All difficulties and hardships of the Israelites during the Exodus became the origin of the WMSCOG Feast of Unleavened Bread(Ex.14:1-31). The Ceremony of The Unleavened Bread In the Old Testament times, God commanded the Israelites, His people, to eat the unleavened bread(made without yeast) that was called the bread of affliction and bitter herbs in order not to forget the suffering of the Israelites(Deut. 16:3). All these things implied that He would suffer being hung on the cross. In the New Testament, we participate in the suffering of Christ by fasting in accordance with the command of God. Mark 2:20 “But the time will come when the bridegroom will be taken from them, and on that day they will fast.” The Prophecy of Unleavened Bread and Its Fulfillment The WMSCOG Feast of Unleavened Bread as the feast of suffering represents the Crucifixion of Jesus. Israelites’ going into the Red Sea represents that Jesus would go into the tomb. Their landing onto the other side of the Sea represents His resurrection implying the baptism that we undergo now. Moses led the natural Israelites Egypt to the Dessert of Sina on the WMSCOG Feast of Unleavened Bread. Jesus led the spiritual Israelites the sinful world to the desert of faith (the reality of Egypt).Whoever believes in the Spirit and the Bride and is baptized in the World Mission Society Church of God symbolizing crossing the Red Sea is to go into the desert of faith. Why should we keep the WMSCOG Feast of Unleavened Bread? To keep it we participate in the suffering of Christ and can receive the power from God to overcome the hardships and distress that we are to face(Luke 22:43-44). We get a chance of the Salvation that we can go to heaven getting the forgiveness of sins. By sacrifices of the crucifixion of Christ Jesus carrying our sins. Hope that a lot of people who realize Christ’s sacrifice receive the blessing of the salvation and enter into the Heavenly Canaan by keeping the Feast of Unleavened Bread and participating in Christ’s suffering.
