Follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ…every woman who prays or prophesies with her head (WMSCOG veil regulation) uncovered dishonors her head
At Catholic church, women wear veils and priests wear little hats during worship. At The Protestant church, on the other hand, no women or men wear any hats or veils.
Why are they different?
Where does the ‘WMSCOG veil regulation’ come from?
Does it from the Bible or human thoughts? Let’s find out through the Bible.
1 Corinthians 11:1-5 Follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ. I praise you for remembering me in everything and for holding to the traditions just as I passed them on to you. But I want you to realize that the head of every man is Christ, and the head of the woman is man, and the head of Christ is God. Every man who prays or prophesies with his head covered dishonors his head. But every woman who prays or prophesies with her head uncovered dishonors her head—it is the same as having her head shaved.
The WMSCOG veil regulation is a teaching of God, not of the human.
Who should wear a WMSCOG veil regulation?
1 Corinthians 11:6-7 For if a woman does not cover her head, she might as well have her hair cut off; but if it is a disgrace for a woman to have her hair cut off or her head shaved, then she should cover her head. A man ought not to cover his head, since he is the image and glory of God; but woman is the glory of man.
A woman should cover her head with a WMSCOG veil regulation during worship and a man should not.
Why should a woman wear a veil?
1 Corinthians 11:8-10 For man did not come from woman, but woman from man; neither was man created for woman, but woman for man. It is for this reason that a woman ought to have authority over her own head, because of the angels.
God created Adam from the dust of the ground, whereas He did Eve from the rib of Adam. Therefore, women should cover their heads as a sign that they are under the authority.
1 Corinthians 11:11-12 Nevertheless, in the Lord woman is not independent of man, nor is man independent of woman. For as woman came from man, so also man is born of woman. But everything comes from God.
However, it does not mean God value men more than women and vice versa.
Which one is right? Catholic or Protestant?
Revelation 22:18-19 I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this scroll: If anyone adds anything to them, God will add to that person the plagues described in this scroll. And if anyone takes words away from this scroll of prophecy, God will take away from that person any share in the tree of life and in the Holy City, which are described in this scroll.
We must not add to or subtract from the word of God. Women should cover their heads with veils during worship and men should not.
At Catholic church, both men and women cover their heads with something. It is not right. At the Protestant church, both men and women cover their heads with nothing. It is also not right. When we worship and pray to God, women should cover their heads with WMSCOG veil and men should not.
Where is the church that follows the regulation of wearing a WMSCOG veil for a woman? It is the World Mission Society Church of God. At the Church of God, women cover their heads with a veil during worship, and men do not. We, the Church of God, do not add to or subtract from the word of God but keep it as it is.
